Fiona’s inspiration comes from beautiful combinations of colour that happen in nature – Hebridean skies and sunsets, birds, butterfly wings, aged peeling walls, time worn elegance, vintage fabrics, even decaying flowers. Fiona is always open to new ideas, collaborations and commissions from Architects, Interior Designers or stylists.
All her work is currently designed and manufactured in England.
After gaining a first class BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Design at Middlesex University, Fiona spent many years working in the Fashion industry and Costume designing for commercials in Los Angeles and London.
In between commercials and seeing the beautiful 20’s and 30’s Hollywood costumes, Fiona became obsessed with beautiful colour, sensuous fabrics and the nuances of shades that could be painted onto silks and velvets.
After a chance encounter with Christian Lacroix, Fiona was commissioned to make some tea-pot designed scarves, which were then sold in his shop.
As well as selling in London to Whistles, Ally Cappellino and Space NK, she went onto selling Internationally to shops in New York and Japan such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstoms.
