A collage in ombre gold and rose shades, contrasted with deep burgundy.
Collected painted silk and velvet pieces form abstract compositions through thoughtful positioning and layering, preserving traces of their past without being overly precious. Sometimes this involves pressing abstract shapes into velvet, creating reflections and a sense of movement.
The collages are inspired by recent moon phases, a partial solar eclipse, and the works of abstract expressionists Robert and Sonia Delaunay, Rothko along with Paul Klee’s use of colour.

· Made from hand-painted, pressed velvet and frayed painted silk organza
