Mauve/gray ombre hand-painted velvet cushion cover, Made to order, 12" x 20" (30cm x 50cm), other sizes available to order.
An opulent, soft hand-painted silk/viscose decorative velvet cushion cover in a pale mauve and dusty mauve/gray ombre velvet. The colors become irridescent when the light hits it. This was inspired by the beautiful sunsets over the Outer Hebrides, where I spent my childhood summer holidays.
Soft subtle washes of color are painted onto velvet and then rich deeper pigments are painted to contrast, sometimes blending haphazardly but also beautifully. The fabric is then steamed to fix the color. It has an overlapped envelope style opening at the back in dark grey velvet.

It is recommended that these are dry cleaned.
